Hi
i have inherited a rockola 432, and i just want to check the location and colour code of wires on the three microswitches at the cam shaft, not sure if the previous owner had them wired up correctly, as the tone arm cut of switch will not work ,and if you manually bring the gripper arm back when turned off ,it will cycle into the same position when you turn it on again

Hi
Its the unit with ic22, i checked pin7 when the gripper is at rest and it reads 4.9 volts, i then checked the optocoupler bridging pins 4 and 5 and it started the record carrier and it selected a record
For R49 it reads 1900 ohms, it is a large resistor, no breaks or burn marks
For R44 read ok for resistance, no breaks or burn marks
For D13 i checked continuity in circuit and reads 700 one

Hi
After making a selection I checked pin 16 on ic 8, zero volts, replaced the chip with the same result of zero volts
Checked R45, resistance is ok but no voltage
I jumpered the outer pins at T4 and the relay operated and carrier moved, the carrier will also move if I manually press the relay,
Regarding D9, no voltage was present when machine was switched on, i checked continuity in both di

I'll give that a try, might take a day or so, do you know the exact spec of T4, may as well get one just in case

Hi
Haven't received the ic's yet, but i have another problem with a similar machine, where the selection does not work, this particular machine will accept credit, will accept the input of numbers which are displayed, but will not initiate selection, z and k lights are ok, input voltages are ok, manually when you press relay m3 it will move the record carrier as well as using the hand

Hi
the socketed ic's at 7,8 and 11 are very confined and difficult to take out on this pcb, anyway have removed them and reseated ic11, but I will wait until i get replacement ic's for 7 and 8 and test the unit then, i will update you on my progress, they didn't arrive in the post today so it will be Monday

Hi
what it did and hasn't done since was it selected over different selections over the course of five minutes. The voltage regulator measures 5 volts. I lifted out the PIA and there are slight heat/burn marks on the chip socket, i have ordered one along with a replacement for ic7 where there are burn marks also. As a matter of interest where could a replacement ROM be sourced from and whic

Hi
I replace C7, no change with the display or no selection possible. Something odd happened after i switched it off and on later on, the gripper arm for about 5 minutes started to select records place them on the turntable and immediately return them, stopped after about 5 minutes and didn't happen since even when i turned it off and on a few times, tried today and issue with the gripper

Hi
will replace C7 shortly, currently the magazine will rotate when operated manually ( i assume it is the lever beside the light gate), the light gate lights up,the z and k led's are normal as is the m led when i press to add credit on the credit board, will post an update on the capacitor in a while

Hi
thanks for the assistance,i checked the blue connector and it works ok, i get voltage(30) when it is at its rest position and 0 volts when the gripper arm is tripped into position.
Not sure about checking shorts or open on capacitors but here's what i did, i firstly tried continuity on C22 with the red lead on the positive and the black lead on the negative of the capacitor and the mete

Hi I have attached a number of photos of the scc, i measured 39.5 v dc at C7, 12.5 v dc at C4 and 13.5 at C22, in the manual it refers to 5 volts at pin 40 on ic 7 and i measured about 4.9. Diode 2 measures 5 volts, at the yellow plug the key and reset inputs measure 4.9 and fall to zero when pressed and just to recap i measured 30, 12 and 12 at the blue lug, and 40 volts at wire to indicator

Hi
just an update on this with regard to my initial post, i by mistake was measuring dc volts on the red plug attached to the scc, i have measured with ac volts and they all read correctlt(30,12,0 and 12 volts) so please disregard my request on the source of a transformer under the chassis, but it still leaves the scc unable to select, there is no display under either credits or record number. Hi
I am trying to repair the Wurlitzer Niagara jukebox but i am having the dreaded selection problem with no digits or credit in the display and no selections possible, the scc seems slightly different from other scc's that i have come across, i don't see a battery in it. I measured voltages at the keyboard input(yellow plug) which are 4.9 volts.I measured voltage at the red plug and

Hi
the tone arm seems to be mounted firmly, and the sequence of operations seems fine, its a an unusual problem, sometimes i can get it to lift off and land correctly when i firstly apply some pressure to the tone arm post maybe the whole thing needs to be dismantled and reassembled, re the caravelle that fix is on hold until i source some ic's
thanks

Hi
I have one of these machines with a slight tone arm problem. Firstly I'll give a bit of background, from my previous experience with these series of jukeboxes, the rest position of the tone arm is just above the outer edge of the turntable. When you select a record the tone arm moves to just beyond the needle brush , after the record is placed on the turntable the tone arm advances to th

Hi
thanks for the information,do you know what is the positions for all of the other diodes, for example with diode at position E 8 where it lets selection from 1 up to 7 but not 8, i see that moving this one in the E row results in blocking off other numbers,(the only one in that row) it can vary from blocking off from 3 to 8 , there are two diodes in row F, should there only be one, tried a nu

I am setting up this wallbox with an nsm city 2, the nsm city 2 records run from 100 to 179, the wall box numbers run from 10A to 89A. Hi
If its any help might be a longshot, i had a similar with an nsm city 2 jukebox where the carriage was stuck and constantly spinning even if you moved the tonearm to the end or pressed reject, and it also made a humming noise, what was wrong in my case was that the tonearm was stuck between where it should be for an A side and B side, i moved the tonearm to the side manually where it should b

Hi
I have since solved the error 74 problem, but now initially I had an error 61, it would take the disc and spin a little and return it but now I have an error 60 the gripper takes the disc brings it to the cd player, it doesn't spin and then returns it, all connections are in place and all fuses ok, the manual refers to a primary fuse at the cd transformer, is this one of the fuses on th
