Hi
thanks for the info, but the only way to get the tonearm onto the start of the record is to close the contact blades, and if they remain closed the tonearm will start on the record but after a few seconds the tonearm will lift and return, i cant seem to seem any mechanism that will close the blades so the tonearm will start the record, and then open the blades during record play and finally

Hi
I am in the process of resurrecting a wurlitzer baltic 100, i can get it to select A and B sides by activating the pins, having a bit of a problem with the buttons resetting, but i can live with that until another day, the bit that is bothering me is the tonearm, the tonearm will lift onto to the record but after 2 to 3 seconds it will lift off, there is a blade switch underneath but not too

Hi
I have an nsm city 2 connected up to this wallbox, its the type that you can use a seeburg, rowe, electromechanical and nsm box and program for each particular type. There are 8 connections on the wallbox pcb for the nsm and these correspond to the connections 1 to 8 inside the jukebox. The wallbox can be programmed for an nsm 160 selection and when connected up the wallbox will make selectio

Hi
i was wondering what kind of set up is needed for a wallbox connection to a nsm city 2 jukebox, the manual on this jukebox only mentions a wallbox adapter and doesn't go into the same detail for lets say a rockola. I have a playmate wallbox currently connected to a rockola, but this wall box can also be connected to other types -nsm, seeburg and electromechanical. my question is what is

i just gave it a quick test the when you select an A side it plays fine and when you select a B side straight after that it plays fine, its when you select an A side straight after a B side play that the problem occurs -the assembly will not move to the left unless it is done manually, so the problem seems to be the movement of the assembly(sledge) from B side to A side,

Hi
I seem to have solved most of the problems, the motor has now stopped and the transfer arm has returned to its rest position and the clamp has released, it seems that the previous owner had the tonearm base set in the middle position and this must have caused the play motor to run continuously, not sure of the name of the tonearm base but you can slide it either left or right, so now records

Hi
i now have first hand info on this subject, a record was previously selected, the carriage moved to its point, the clamp closed and the turntable is going through the motions of playing a record, however the tonearm at the end does not cause the record to be transferred back or the clamp to be released it is stuck in a playing position
thanks

Just an update, i managed to solve the first problem with the play motor lever not moving to the turntable it was just of case of turning a screw which put a bit more tension on the spring, anyone any ideas regarding the carriage getting jammed after a record is played, no jams occur during scanning only after a record is played

I have brought this jukebox back to life but theres always something, on the positive side a selection can be made, the carriage will move to the correct position, the record will be placed in the correct position for play, the play motor is turning but the lever from the play motor that is supposed to contact the turntable does not go into position(the record will play if I manually push the

hi
Sometimes after a selection is made the carriage will not move , but the turntable will go through the motions of trying to play a record, in this case the transfer arm will not move but the turntable moves, other times the carriage will move to the selected point after making a record selection, turntable moves but the transfer arm will not flip the record into position, sorry to be a bit va

just for reference purposes for anybody else that is interested, the fault in the jukebox is more than likely the traic's and possibly some of the resistors in the control box, haven't heard great things about this series of jukebox

Hi
I have been looking at this type of jukebox and this is what is happening, the turntable is constantly moving , but when the tone arm reaches the end of the record it does not initiate the gripper to remove the record or the tone arm to lift, the turntable just keeps moving and i presume it will not stop until the gripper arm and tonearm start their operation, i am not familiar with wurlitzer

a further addition, i tried a credit unit from another machine and it worked, from reading up on it could be a possible capacitor or diode problem

Hi
Just been working at it, and i replaced the large relay on the power supply, this has got the gripper arm and magazine moving, although they are a bit stiff. To select a song manually by moving the pin on the wobble plate works ok, but if you try to use the buttons, sometimes the mechanism will trip, most times it will search the plate, however the pin d wont move by using the selector button

Hi
Have acquired one of these machines, hasn't been in use for about 18 months, will accept credits, button push mechanism is fine the carriage around the wobble plate moves fine until the pin is found, and then it trips out. I suspect the carousel motor, because if you try to scan the magazine it wont move but the turntable will spin.Resetting the trips on the power supply doesn't mak
