I am exploring the possibility of using a modern amp, the existing amplifier is playing up, one channel is completly dead, i have checked the driver boards, pre-amp, avc, power and mute boards, the only thing left would be one of the large caps, the sound originally was very low on the left channel, eventually started to crackle and is now gone.

just another question, can the existing tweeter and bass speakers on the jukebox be used for connection to the amplifier, usually when i have used other speakers they are prewired regular speakers and you directly connect to the amp whereas now with the jukebox speakers they are seperately wired(if you know what i mean), what would be the correct way to connect them to the amp, the amp has posts

Just as an addition to my last post, there are three wires coming from the tone arm(black, red and white) which are then wrapped ina shielded cable, the input to the jukebox amplifier has three prongs and the shield is attached via a bolt, what way do you configure the wires to from the phono connection

Hi
Does anybody know if a rockola wallbox model 506 is compatible with a rockola 470, also i see in the archives that a seeburg sc can be used with a 1770 stepper for a rockola 470, what exact model number is the seeburg wallbox?, i suppose the right way to go would be to get a rockola wallbox model 507. has anybody got one that they are looking to sell?

Hi
I have a rockola 477 working fairly ok, just a few issues with it. When you switch it on the magazine starts to rotate and stops after about 2 seconds, if i switch off and on again it rotates fine-any ideas what causes this.
Also if you select for example 5 songs, the first one plays but the jukebox doesn't play the rest, this doesn't happen all the time and occurs on a random basi

Hi
I have connected up a wallbox to my jukebox, initially the digits ULL(i think) appeared in the display of the wallbox, i pressed the reset on the pcb inside the wallbox and now i have F-2 in the display, has anybody any idea what could be causing this or what to do. The wallbox is called a Playmate rustic and has a board inside it with terminals for Seeburg, Rowe, NSM and electro-mechanical.

Hi Mario
Thanks for the information and tips, it turned out that all of these items and the gripper arm assembly needed lubrication, once that was done the gripper arm moved fine. You sure have to dismantle alot of things inside the jukebox to carry this out but its a good learning process and it won't not seem as daunting again The problem with the home position was also solved, what had h

Hi
I have a wallbox, with the name playmate rustic. When connected up the 12 volt dc fuse keeps blowing. There are three leds one for 5vdc, one for 12vdc and one for 24vac. The 12 volt one keeps blowing but the other two are fine, nothing obvious on the board. Beside each fuse is a bridge rectifier, i suspect this may be the problem. There is nothing on the component except the following

Just acquired a rockla 477 from a friend, typical situation, lots to be
done. I supose for starters the power supply and amplifier are fine,
initially the magazine would not stop, cleaned the opto board it stops now
but not at the usual home position.I have tried the adjustments as outlined in
the manual but it does not seem to make any difference. The gripper arm is
now slightly above selec

Hi
I have a rockola 488 operating at 240 volt (ireland). Just last night one of the 3 amp fuses on the power supply board blew , tried a few more same thing keeps happening. Took a look inside the power supply and there appears to be a sort of white residual powder on the RFI filter. Tried to turn on again and bang with a fair amount of smoke, one end of the rfi filter cracked. I presume this wo
