Hello Phil,
It is good to have the spare micro switches, but I would not change any unless you have to. I have been repairing Rowe Ami jukeboxes since 1980 and have never had to replace a switch up to date.
My advice to you is wear out those pages on that manual before you dive in and adjust a thing.
Once you have taken in the concept of how the jukebox works, check all of the adjustment

Hello Marc,
I agree with Chrisi and charly49, always try to repair or replace with the original speaker type.
Different papers were used on some speakers to give a better sound. On some of the 70's Seeburg's unmarked Fender speakers were used.

Hello Bernhard,
Hildegard is correct Seeburg made a large range of Library Units, A number of companies in the US offered a service where you could dial in for a record of your choice that would be then played for you.

Hello Martin,
Most Rowe Ami jukebox cash box lids and surrounds are the same with the exception of the MM-1 that has a smaller cash box lid and surround.
They may be for sale on this site or try at www.jukeboxparts.co.uk or I have them in stock.

Hello Jan,
Did you say that you had the MM5 manual?
If that is the case look at page 3-25 in the manual it shows a full circuit drawing of the jukebox.
The latch bar solenoid works off of 30 volts AC and is switched by the R1 contacts 7 & 8 as charly49 says.
It is one of the relays under the plastic cover on the keyboard assembly the other relay is R5.
I suggest that you clean the o

Hello Jan,
I think you still have power supply problems, most of those metal plate rectifiers are now breaking down.
If you have got credit then the latch bar solenoid on the keyboard should energize, so the buttons can lock on a selection.
What do mean by TL's?
You may have a fault on the credit unit or the wiring between the coin fingers and the credit unit (credit clock)

Hello Jens,
I would make some yourself by using the following method:-
Obtain a suitable peice of plain material
Buy some glitter from a craft shop of a colour you like, you may find many different shades or you could mix some.
You need to apply some glue onto the material all over coverage is required. PVA glue would be ok.
Scatter the glitter all over the material so it is fully covered

Hello soderica,
After looking at your pictures and looking at the pictures of the 1959 Italian Silverfox in the Archive Section of this site it is clear that the Mechanism and the selector wheels are of a similar type, I guess the jukebox could have been made a couple of years earlier or put into an earlier cabinet.

Hello Jan,
Did you manage to get the power supply or was it just a 220 volt to 110 volt step down transformer you wanted.
With regards to the price you paid for the jukebox I would say that is a fair price, there can not be many of this model around certainly in Europe.
The jukebox was produced in 1972, the MM-6 Superstar had four different models;-

Hello spotty1945,
Charly49 is correct that the molex pins on the boards suffer from dry joints (called cold joints in the USA), if I was checking for these I would start in the power supply pcb, followed by CCC, Mechanism Control and the Pricing Board.
Once these dry joints are fixed check the molex plugs for continuity (you will need your manual for this) check that the pressure made on the

Hello Lizzy,
If the capacitor does not sort out your problem, I suggest that you source some 45rpm 50htz gear sets I am sure Hildegard & Oliver stock these and do away with the Autospeed Unit, it was always a problem.
I have just checked and they are on their site at 138 euro.

You say the jukebox is a 1964 model, I guess the jukebox could be one of the following models:-
1963 Seeburg LPC1 160 selections
1964-65 Seeburg U100 Mustang 100 selections
1965 Seeburg LPC480 160 selections
1966 Seeburg PFEA1U/APFEA1 Electra/Fleetwood 160 selections
If you could let the group know if your jukebox is one of the above it would help with what advice to give

Hello Chistian,
Another thing to look at on some of the Rowe amplifiers is that the screen on the cable to the volume contol is present without it on dual controls there is always a very loud hum.
Sheilding is alway an issue on most jukeboxes.

Hello Genesis,
Ralf is correct you need to get the amplifier refurbished by a professional.
It will need most if not all the capacitors replacing (bear in mind that these earlier amplifiers the capacitor used by Seeburg used possitive cased capacitors, we used to use insulation tape or rubber shields around the caps when fitting them into the clips. A number of the resistors may also need

With regards to your lighting have you replaced the flourescent tubes and starters with 110/120 volt american tubes/starters?
If not this may be the issue.

Hello Alex,
You need to look for a coin mech that has the the coin path on the back of the coin mechanism, in the Uk this was for the Shilling or the larger sized 5P this path is adjustable for the size and thinkness of the coin.
All you need to do is move the coin finger cables to produce a suitable price of play with the credit clock.
