1958 AMI I 100 manual play.
After using the scan button to turn carousel. EG: putting records in. I can select a record, but the carousel will not turn until I press a solenoid on the left side under the top trim of the record deck area. Then it operates as normal. Is there contacts near this button, or is it something else? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,
Hope everyone is well and keeping safe.
I have a problem after putting records in. When pressing the button to turn the carousel, that works fine. However, when a record is selected, the jukebox will not turn the carousel unless I press a solenoid on the left side of the turntable area. Then the jukebox will operate as normal. Can anyone tell me if there are conta

Hello charly49
I did what you suggested and everything seemed to operate ok . It played well for awhile then the fault occurred again .
Luckily I had a spare stopper switch and replace the suspect one with it . It seems to be working alright and stopping has it used to .
Once again thanks for your help .

Hello Charly 49
Thanks for your message . The m3d was in the jukebox when I got it years ago .approx 40/45 years ago . I have also had a shure m55 in for years . However when I had the amp done I put the m3d back in with a new stylus and it sounded great .
My last message mentioned the motor that I have now changed over the weekend and now seems quiet .

Hello Alan
Thanks for your message .
The jukebox had been quiet , but started to hear the humming noise when further away from it . A few weeks ago it was playing and suddenly the speed slowed down for a few seconds and then picked back up and not done it since .
Probably from this happening the noise may have begun . Like you say bearing/s .The old motor spindle seem to

My jukebox is playing fine but just recently I have heard a slight hum noise when the record is playing. ( more I know of it the more I seem to hear )
When the stylus is off the record its quiet but once it touches the record it starts to have the hum noise . I have tried several usual problems-.
Eg: wires insecure , stylus seems ok , new rubbers on turntable motor mo

Thanks for your message . I will look at that , but do not see any switches on the left . They are not the ones on the right side of the model I
it is a bit intermittent now and then , could be that the a sides get played near 100%. and this may cause the problem with the contacts not being used as much

Hello charly49
Thank you for your prompt reply , much appreciated .
I have checked the contacts on the camshaft switches and cleaned them . But did not cure it .When I get the time and in the right mood I will check them again , and if no luck will try the stopper switches which seem to be the original switch , so now 60 years old . Nearly as Old has me !

My ami i 100 manual selection juke box has a problem ( was intermittent but now seems to do it 90% of the time ) ,
When playing A sides (which I usually do ) it will play no trouble . When a B side is selected it plays that no trouble . However when an A side is played again it returns to the B side position on the turn table and no sound . If I flick the rocker lever it plays the sound and
