Wurlitzer 2150 amp

Hello

Our 2150 was working fine until yesterday
There is no sound anymore the rest is working fine
All the fuses are ok
All the new tubes light up
The 5u4gb is working but i have no high voltage on the caps(4 and 5 see picture) and other tubes
Who can help me with this problem?

Hello!
Maybe the Resistor (13) is damaged. It is a double Resistor R69A-R69B.
If you have no Connction between Pin 1 and 3 on the Speakerplug, you cannot have Voltage
from the 5U4.

You are richt there is no connection between pin 1 and 3 on the speakerplug
I looked at resistor 13 and it seems to be bad see picture
Can i build it myself?
If so , do you have a schematic?

Hi Tim!
I am shure the Resistor is damaged, the 9kOhm part is mostly damaged.
You can change it with two 18kOhms 11Watt Resistors in parallel.
I have the Schematic for this Amplyfier.
The Connection between 1 and 3 is in the Plug for the Speakers not in the Amplyfier.

The jumper is in the speaker - connector (between pins 1 and 3, as Willi wrote) because it is not allowed to operate the amplifier without a load (speakers connected). If the plug is not plugged in, it is prevented that high voltage is generated and the amplifier may be damaged.

You can get here in the shop a schematic of of the amplifier ( [www.jukebox-world.de] ), or even a complete service manual ( [www.jukebox-world.de] ) for the jukebox.

In the shop, a replacement for the defective resistor is also available. [www.jukebox-world.de]

I do not know why the resistor is burned. It seems to be a weak point of these amplifiers. It had been many of them to be replaced over time.

At your resistor the 9KOhm section is obviously damaged. If only this is broken, the amplifier should still work. It's just the screen grid voltage of the power tubes and some other voltages too high, which can lead to increased wear.

On the 1650 part i get 3Mohm +
when i measure between pin 8 (5u4) and pin 4(6l6)
without all the tubes

Than is the Best you take the replaysment Part from the Shop.
