Hello,

I've placed a new ceremic cardridge in my jukebox
The old one was also ceramic
But now i have a little over-modulation
How can i solve this?

Hello timroy

Which jukebox do you have? Which pickup was installed previously and which you have installed? Without this information it is difficult to help.

Orginal was a philips ag 3010
The new one is a philips gp 230 with a higher output voltage
It's a wiegandt diplomat jukebox with a philips ve 1312 amp

Hello timroy

As far as I know, the AG3010 is a crystal - type, while the GP230 is a ceramic - type. Therefore, the AG3010 should have a higher output voltage (about 800-1000 mV) than the GP230 (about 200 mV). Unfortunately I could not find exact data for the two pickups. The amplifier should be able to handle both types. The maximum volume is expected to be slightly lower with the new pickup. If the old pickup played quieter, probably the crystal element is partially destroyed by humidity.

If you have the impression that the amplifier is overdriven, probably the amplifier is to repair. The input circuit may in this case be modified for a higher maximum volume if necessary.

The amp is restored
How can i change the input volume?

SOLVED

I putted a resistor of 1,7 M ohm in serie and it works great again
