Wurlitzer SL-600 Plays B- Side Mostly

Hello from USA. Thank you for maintaining this website. I just recently purchased this Wurlitzer SL-600 circa 1986/87 . It is Made in Germany quality. It does have a problem. Most of the time it only plays the B side of the record even if the A side has been selected. Thank you in advance to whoever can give help or tips to solve this problem.

Most probably your gripper motor runs too slowly. To find out, please select a record, press and hold down the cancel-button and check how long it takes for the mechanism to pick and return a record. A complete cycle - from the point where the gripper arm takes the record out of the magazine to the point when it is put back again - should not last longer than about 12 seconds.

If your machine needs a longer time, please check the gearbox for any hardened grease. If the gears appear to be all right, check and replace the motor.
