Wurlitzer 2800 - Carousel not rotating

Hi

My Wurlitzer 2800 selects and the Turntable Motor and Amplifier start but the Carousel is not rotating?

If I manually rotate the Carousel it plays the selection and cancels it OK!

Can anyone suggest why.

Turn left or right, than it snaps in and the carousel will rotate.

Thanks for the reply but the Carousel is assembled and rotates but not when after the selection is made?

Only when I manually rotate the Carousel does it plays the selection and cancels it OK!
