Rockola tempo power issue

Have a Tempo and getting a strange power issue. when the magazine carousel is going round, if I select another record the carousel will stop and then restart a few seconds later. This can also happen when the gripper arm is in action, the gripper will stop and start up a few seconds later.
it does not always do this.
