Ami continental 1

Hi, my continental has developed an intermittent fault. Sometimes the gripper arm doesn’t line up with the record. Any ideas as it’s not every record and sometimes it will pick the record play it then put it back in the wrong slot. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

If the error occurs with the same records every time, it is possible that some record slots are bent.

Another possibility is that the stopping switches are badly adjusted. It also happens that they no longer work well and therefore switch with a delay.

If a new rectifier has been installed in the power supply unit, the operating voltage could also be too high. As a result, the motor runs too fast and the dynamic brake cannot stop it in time. The voltage should be around 28 VDC.
