Have one of these machines and there is a problem with the gripper arm, when selection is made , basket stops at correct selection but the gripper arm does not grip the record fully and as a result the record is not gripped by the arm. Is there some particular problem that might cause this or is it just a case of lubricating the mechanism at the various joints and linkages

Got it sorted out, just needed some lubrication. I can't get any sound from the amplifier and one of the thermic lamps is lighting up indicating an overload. Could it be that the output transistors on the heatsink need to be replaced or has anuone come across this type of problem
