Hello
I have got a Wurlitzer 2610 with a 543 amplifier that is not working.

I have got a spare Amplifier, but I am not sure if it is for the 120V or 230V input. I can not measure on the old transformer, because it is burned.

Can someone help about the value for resistance on the Input side of both T2 and T3 transformers ? when it have to be connected to the 230V supply.

Thank You

Regards

Hello Maponi

I think I have never seen a 543 amp for 230V. Measuring the resistance can be misleading. I would connect the amplifier to 110 - 120 V and measure the voltages. On fuse F2 should be about 24 VAC and on F3 should be about -28 VDC to measure (against ground). If these voltages are present, you have an amplifier for 117 V. If the voltages are only half as high, the amplifier for 230 V.

Hello Charly49

Thank you for the answer. Sorry for my late reply, I have been on holiday.

On the jukebox I have 2 plug like for the 230V. The one goes directly to the Amplifier. It means that I have no transformer that goes from 230 - 115V inside the jukebox.
Was it then a external transformer for the jukeboxes that shoud work on the 230V

Hello Maponi

I gave you an instruction, how can you determine which line voltage you need. The plug says nothing about it. I would recommend to proceed according to the instructions. When the amplifier is for 117 V and is connected to 230 V, in a short time important components (diodes, capacitors, tubes and more) are destroyed.

Hello Again.

Yes. I understand what you mean. The ampilfier is for the 115V.
What I dont understand is that there is no transformer in front of the amplifier, and the machine have runned where we have 230V.
Maybe there have been an external transformer before I get the machine. But do you know what was normal for the machine for 230V. Did they have a external transformer ?

Hello Esben

Usually a transformer 230 V / 115 V (min. 350VA or more) was installed upstream. He was mounted somewhere on the housing bottom. But it is also possible that some people connect their box with external transformer.

You can get a suitable transformer here in the shop [www.jukebox-world.de] .

Hello

Now I found out that the Power transformer on my Wurlitzer 543 is burned. On the transformer I have 15 wire comming out of it.

Now I am looking for a powertransformer or a complete 543 amp.

Do anyone know where it is possible to find such a transformer or amp. ?

I have asked Jukebox Revival and Jukeboxparts without luck.

Regards
Esben
