Rock ola 1448

Hello,

I have a Rock Ola 1448
The jukebox works okay
but threre is one proplem
Sometimes i make a selection it does not scan
The pin is out but no scan
When i make new selection it scans and plays the 2 seletions
Is this a ground problem
How can i fix this?

Hello Tim

On each selector pin is a small plate which bridges two contact strips in the selector drum when the pin is set. Probably the plate or the contact strip is dirty or oxidized. You can try to inject some contact spray and push the pin back and forth several times. If that does not help, the selector must be disassembled and cleaned.

But some people say never use contact-spray because it gets sticky
Can i use something else?

It's all right, contact spray will not be a solution for eternity. But it will work a year or two. At some point you will have to disassemble the selector.
