Wurlitzer OMT vinyl

Hi
I have this jukebox and the tone arm does not seem to operate correctly, the tonearm should swing back before the gripper arm places the record on the turntable, but however the tone arm barely moves and as a result the gripper arm cant place the record on the turntable.
If i manually do it and play the record and when it reaches the end of the record the tone arm lifts slightly but does not swig bacl enough for the gripper arm to clear it ad place the record back in the record basket
has anyone any ideas

Probably, the shaft on which the tone arm is mounted is sluggish by gummy oil. I think you have to spray some oil on the moving parts in this area, even below the chassis plate.

Thanks the lubrication of the tone arm post and tone arm linkage solved the problem,
