bought a Wiegandt Tonmaster ( interesting mechanism )
for those who are interested serial nr. : 5212 ( year : 1958 )
all original and as far as I can see complete with 2 exceptions
the Tonmaster emblem is broken and misses the T and part of the O
both needle brushes are missing

Q1 :
does anyone know the code for the original gold paint ?
Q2 :
still has a sticker of the Dutch distributor , instructions on the front are in Dutch
coin mechanism work on Dutch quarters and dimes
but the coin entry says : 5Fr and 2x1Fr
which suggests the juke was for the Belgian market
is my assumption correct that Wiegandt never made this type for the Dutch market ?

started working on the juke
at first the mechanism (was jammed ) , took everything apart , cleaned all , new grease in all the bearings etc
only need to replace the 5 caps and a new rubber ring for a friction wheel

next the back cabinet :
stripped it for I want to revarnish the outside ( it's also an easy way to clean the internal parts )

my first intension was to keep it all as original as possible
( it's complete without the parts I mentionned above )

but now I have doubts : should I replace the background/top paper ? ( see pictures )

suggestions ???

I think it depends on what you prefer. Do you have the focus on keeping as much as possible in original condition or is your focus on a better than new condition?

In which condition are the other parts? Will their condition fit to the new background paper or better to the (worse) original?

For me the original background paper of your Box seems to be not too worse. Some of the damaged areas on the background paper will be covered by the mech parts I think.

I would keep the original smiling smiley
