Rowe AMI JAN / Diplomat sound

Hi to all,

can anyone please explain to me the function of the Power Level Switch on the Amplifier ? There are 4 positions for the Power Level : 0.2 , 1.4, 5.5 and 2.2 Watt

I do not have any extension speakers on my box, only the internal speakers are active - so what´s the correct setting ??? The box sounds on a low volume level, even if the volume control is set to max....

Hello Andreas,

The switch should be marked 0.2, 1.4, 5.5 and 22 watts (not 2.2) This switch is used when the phono speakers are wired through the molex socket rather than on the E1 to E6 terminals left and right.

The switch connects the E terminals to the speakers at the following switch positions:-
For example.

22 watts
E1 Right: Right midrange speaker yellow cable pin 6 on molex
E6 Left: Right midrange speaker white cable pin 3 on molex
E2 Right: Center speakers Blue cable pin 4 on molex
E2 Left: Center speakers Orange pin 1 on molex
E1 left: Left midrange speaker green cable pin 2 on molex
E6 Right: Left midrange speaker red cable pin 5 on molex
