Wurlitzer 1900 foil, colour?

Hi. I have just bought a Wurlitzer 1900. The foil for the internal sides are not gold, they are in red plastic with square pattern. Seems that they have been there from start what I can understand, not replaced. Have seen some pictures on internet where the inside foil is red. The back door liner is also in red plastic but it's sprayed with gold colour. Anybody have any idea if they were manufactured like this? Tomas
