helping the English guy with the 1493! Success!

Dear forumfriends
following the advice of Marc, I found that the motor would move manually- so after speaking the Hildegard, I bought new brushes for the motor at the Genk show- when I opened the motor- 40 years of black debris!! Lots of work cleaning it, then polishing the commutator copper ring, then cleaning the grooves between the segments- now running perfectly!!
