Hi Claire,
Is this fuse also blowing with the 12 pins plug in front of the power supply unplugged? In other words; is the short circuit in the power distribution or in de boards?
Kind regards Piet

Hello Klaus,
I had this problem many times in the past. I think that there's remanent magnetism in the stop relay core and the relay is too long in the "on"position. My solution: a piece of plastic tape between the core and the contact armature gives years of reliable working.

Mättu,
Inside the power supply there are more fuses. Open the front panel and check fuse F102 on the rectifier board.

If all 3 LED's on the powerboard are burnin, all connectors are correctly plugged-in and there's no reaction on the play relay when you move the scanswitch;than i think you have a problem on your logic board.I hope for you IC404 (4069-hex inverter).
If not i'm afraid that the problem is IC401(mechanism controller).

Hello Mättu,
On the power distribution unit you will find the playrelay. Is that relay working when you push the scanswitch?
For that problem with the wrong selections; check the plastic adjustment disc holder and the tension spring.

Hallo,
The scan unit for model 1458 is located in the rear of the record magazine. If the microswitch is closed, the playrelay is energized and the magazinemotor is running. When you hit the trip lever two times, the microswicth is free and the circuit for the startrelay is open.

If you have removed the plastic push buttons for cleaning, be shure that they are reset in the correct position. The hole is not 100% in the center of the button and therefore you have to turn some buttons so that they are all in one line. The buttons assembly must be fixt so that the buttons are moving free and not touching the mountingplate.
There are differend ways to remove the mechanisme fr

Hello,
If i understand well ; the juke box will play only the "B" side except A2-A4-A6-A8-A0.I have no service manual or wiring diagram for that model but that kind of problems is most of the time situated in the keybord.I will advise you to check pushbuttons 1 and 2. One of these is probably bad. If there's nothing broken of, then you can repair it. If that's impossible,ca

Hello Franz,
I think that you have a Princess 1493. If it's so then don't forget to check the home snap switch. That switch is fixed unther the selection unit and the function is to bring the record magazine in the home position after the last record is played. If you are servicing the mechanisme on a bench, be carefull with that switch because there's no protection and it'

Hello Klaus,
Thank you for this valuable information. I was looking for the transistor 2N2869 and this type is really hard to find. Now i have found 2 of them in Germany but they are really expensif.
In the pré-amplifier Rock Ola 442-444 there's a dual amp. IC (45762). Did you find a good replacement for that part? Anyway, i'm happy with this kind of information.
Kind regards Pi

Hello Michel,
The diameter of the rubber idlerwheel have no effect on the speed of the turntable. The top of the shaft is normally for 33 RPM and the lower (and bigger) part is for 45RPM. I think that you must check the idlerwheel position. I'm not so familiar with AMI juke boxes but that must be not so difficult. Maybe somebody else can explain that.Good Luck

Hi Eddie,
When the last record is played and the magazine runs to the home position, the magazine motor stops because the microswitch on the scan unit opens the circuit to the play controle relay. That means that the motor will stop without a brake. But that's not so important because in the home position the grippermotor can't take a record. I hope that , when the grippermotor must tak

Hello Eduard,
Maybe you can search in this way. Did you adjust the microswitch (1) on the scan unit? Each time when you made an selection, the ratchet is moving and , if the microswitch is not adjust correct, the play relay is swicht of for a short period. Good luck.

Hi Dieter,
Yes, I know that the problem is the home snap switch but these switch and the wobble plate switch are working paralel. With the first selection, the wobble plate switch activate the play relay to start the mechanisme and the home snap switch activate the playrelay after the last record is played to bring the record magazine in the home position. I'm not shure but i think it'

The box will play records until the wobble plate switch gets open. That means that the last record will stay on the turntable until the next selection is made.
