Hi
I have noticed my Rockola 1454 has a loose wire just dangling from the cam limit switch, the wire has a washer attached which I would presume requires earthing having some real issues at the moment detailed below
I have another issue with my rockola 1454, the carousel, it rotates back and forward even if selection is not made, it happened a few weeks ago but I was told to check the pin ban

Hi
the problems have got worse, I have checked all the microswitches for movement and now checked the control box, I removed the box completely and cleaned all the contacts, sprayed with electrical cleaner
I still had the same issue so decided to move the contacts manually whilst the power was still connected to the jukebox.
I must have shorted something as the power to the box tripped, it did

Hi thanks
Do you know which switch it would be in the control box, I have tried pressing a couple, the one at the back appears to operate the gripper arm
There is a micro switch arrangement which can be viewd easily from the front of the jukebox
I may be better off taking the control box out and examining, I am not the best at reading diagrams
Thanks
Andy

Hi
Thanks for your reply, I don't think the play is more than 1mm, there was an issue with the carousel switches located near the motor on the left, so I get no jerking but the gripper still catches the odd disc or 2
But it's better not perfect

Thanks but it appears to select discs ok and return ok but in the rest position the gripper arm catches the discs as the carousel rotates, it needs to be pushed out about 1-2 MM. to clear the rotating carousel

Hi
Another issue with the Rockola, the gripper arm has started catching the records as the carousel moves round, there appears to be play on the shaft which is attached to the chrome gripper, is there any adjustment on this
Thanks in advance and many thanks to Charlie for his last reply

Hi
I am relatively new to jukeboxes and have a Rockola 1454, the issue is the gripper arm appears to catch the records as the carousel moves round, I have checked the arm and you can push it back but it appears to be spring loaded, it picks the dos great but could do to have an adjustment screw to push back slightly
Thanks in advance for any advise given.

Hi
Got another issue with the Rockola , it's started beginning a record but then as soon as it starts it returns the disc to its home slot on the carousel
I have had an issue with sticking pins, this new issue has started since I stripped the top end by removing the gold inspection panels either side of the turntable and examined the pin bank.
I have checked the control box removed it and

Hi
another post about the rockola which now appears ok, just one slight issue when playing some discs there is a definite warble on the vocals and tremble tones
I have been told to check that the rubber wheels are not hardened and worn, also I have checked for play and there is a little, but I wouldn't consider it really bad.
but there is a spring on the drive shaft that just looks wrong

Hi
Thanks very much for your info, the issue with playing every record appears to have been me pressing all the pins in as I was trying to dislodge a sticking one.
The juke appears to have settled down now and seams to be gripping the discs ok,
I also had an issue with a button not selecting a song, the issue was on selection 87 which has also problems picking one of the other selection on tha

There appears to be a problem selecting certain records on the jukebox
I have sprayed electrical spray on the connections back of button bank, all appear ok but no 97, 17 is ok but 57 appears to be a little temperamental will I need to strip down the title drum or is there an easier way, it's the middle section which appears to have another circuit board in the way of clear spraying

Hi
another issue with the rockola today, the selection arm did not pick a record up, and refused to a selection after, it appears that the selection arm was not in line with the disc.
I opened the juke up and moved the carousel as if to load discs, selected again and all worked
could something need lubricating

Hi sorry swen
I do not speak German, but on translation are you saying the 1454 is different to the 1458, the issue had only just started happening so I am assuming there is no solder, as no repairs have been made.
Are you saying there is no stop position pin
Not sure what this is
Have you a diagram to show what you mean
Thanks for your help
