Hello Asango,
Welcome to the forum.
I concur with Uwe that on one of your pictures it shows the CD PRO.
I suggest that you send your laser, mechanaism control and CCC to a Rowe Ami/laser specialist for testing/repair.

Hello gfink,
Is your MM-6 fitted with a 110 power supply unit or a 230/240 volt export power supply. If the jukebox was a 110 volt domestic model then a 230/240 volt to 110 Auto or double wound transformer would supply the 110 volt power supply.
All Rowe Ami lighting should be 110 volts and of this age used the 2 pin sockets and plugs wired into the power looms.

Hello Sebastian,
I can see from your pictures that someone has substituted the cartridge, it would have been a Shure M44C, I would suggest that you get one of these (no longer in production but the Shure M44-7 is).
In addition the cartridge is not fixed onto the correct way, it needs turning through 180 degrees so the stylus looks as if it is dragging.

Hello Manfred,
Welcome to the forum.
If you are still having problems with this jukebox, by all means feel free to contact me, I have been working on these jukeboxes for over 30 years and I am one of the small handfull of Engineers worldwide that still repair the boards on the R-80S through to R-83.

With small items such as phones etc then the best thing is to dry them out by putting them into a bag of rice, which would absorb the moisture that just drying off would not achieve.
I guess you could this with the control panels and amplifier etc.

Hello Jimmie,
The Rock Ola models 1484, 1494, & 403 are amongst my favorite Rock Ola jukeboxes, when I first started working for an amusement company in 1976 we were still installing these in the smaller locations. Very few were wall mounted infact I think we only did this on one site after making sure the walls would take the heavy duty Rawl Bolts we fitted to hang it on the wall, most we

Hello Henry,
Welcome to the forum and to the world of jukeboxes.
Your 1964 Rock Ola 424 Princess Royal is a 100 selection jukebox.
Hildegard is quite correct you will be best finding a company that can refurbish your amplifier, yes you may need new valves but more than likely it will require some replacement capacitors, resistors and more than likely require the 110/115 volt brital wiring

Hi Alexander,
You can use a Varta 2.4 volt rechagable battery, dependant on issue type of the CCC there is holes for this type of battery, if not just drill a small hole in the board to connect the ground.

Hi Jake,
Thank you for your location, I supplied a replacement Rowe Ami R-89 CCC to someone in Cooma, New South Wales only yesterday.
I only know of about four companies in Australia and two of them are in Tasmania.
I am sure that Erwin Boot from Flamingo Records is a forum member.
Go onto the sales section of www.jukebox-world.de as I said Hilegard & Oliver Stamann are very nice p

Hello,
There is currently a wallbox on Ebay (from Greece) item number:231299677682 with a staring bit of £280.00 which I would say is about what it is worth, after saying that these are not for sale for very long, they are rarely on offer.

Hi Jake,
Welcome to the forum.
Re jukeboxes in gerneral, DO NOT use WD40 or for that matter any spray of any kind, also do not use files, sandpaper for cleaning contacts and leave the metal polish in the tin.
Regarding lubrication, only oil as per your manual, some jukeboxes like Seeburg and Rock Ola need a fare bit of oil, NSM and Rowe Ami not so much (infact very little) with lubricati

Hello Alexander,
charley49 is correct just remove the 160 or RI-3 diode (most people just unsolder one of the ends)
We have do this for loads of people it was a bonus that Rowe Ami used a standard mechanism and all the associated parts.
Rowe Ami could not fit 200 titles on this jukebox (RI-3, 1980, RI-4, 1982 & RI-5 1982) with a diode in either of these above locations the jukebox wi

Hello Dan,
Charly49, is quite right regarding the M44-7 which is used these days as a scratch cartridge but can be used as a substitute cartridge for Rowe Ami and Rock Ola M44C which are no longer made.
Yes Rowe Ami & Rock Ola used the M44C for many years as the standard cartridge in the case of Rowe Ami from its 1967 jukebox MM-1 through to its last vinyl the R-94 (in vinyl format).

Re: MM1 - 9 Jahre - Years
Hello Eric,
I would guess at the reason that they look different is that on this and a number of early Rowe Ami amplifiers used tag stips to connect components to that there will have been slight variations on the way they were wired from each production opertative.
Even though they will have all been given the same instruction we all tend to do things our own way.

Hello Eric,
I have found a very tidy MM-1 amplifier from stock which I have put onto Ebay for sale.
I have metered the control which is 1k ohm.
I hope this helps you.

Hello Alex,
Are the two aaa cells rechargable? if not they need to be. Varta has a 2.4 volt suitable cell, but you may well have to drill a small hole in the board to solder it in.
Your message was not very clear, is the jukebox now working?

Hello James,
I do not like the results of 1977 RI-2 featured in the picture that would have been a Fantasia or Canterbury.
I think that good graphics can transform a jukebox, but making a jukebox visable for the sake of it when the model was clearly not made that way.

Hello Alexanda,
The 1980 Rowe Ami RI-3 Jewel electronic boards are the same as the R-84 to R-88, RI-4, RI-5 and CTI-2.
You need to check that if the battery is dead and there is sign of corrosion to the components below the battery, if so in most cases they will need changing and the effects of the acid leakage neutralised. You may find out however that you could have dry joints (cold joint

Hello Roland,
By the sound of your discription, if you have not already sent the following boards away for testing/repair I would do:-
Memory Unit, Mechanism Control and Selector Logic.
When we test/repair these for customer we ask for all of these boards so we can be sure that there are no dry joints (called cold joints USA) and the the interaction between the memory unit and the select

Hello Eric,
We have spoken about the value of the AVC potentiometer and the lac of information in the manual.
If I still had a chassis I would of course have metered the control to give you an ohms value.
As you say maybe someone out there would be able to give us both the value of this pot for future reference.

Hello Helmut,
Have you checked the phono connection socket on the side of the mechanism (it is a valve base type socket) check that none of the wires have come off the back of this and that you have continuity back to the cartridge.
If you check at the plug that goes into the socket to see if touching the pins you get a buzz out of both channels.
I always check the easy items first and t

I also fully agree with Michael & JukeboxChrisi that we all take pleasure from repairs or restorations of these old machines.
It does not matter if the work is done by professionals or collectors as long as the work is done to the best of everyones abilities and from my point of view is kept to its original format, so they are still there for future generations.
