Hello Bianca,
The first thing is to have the following boards tested/repaired:-
Selector Logic 601-08060
Mechanism Control 401-06905
Memory Unit 301-07855
Once these boards are proven good you can proceed with any mechanical adjustments that are fully described in your manual.
If you can not find any Rowe Ami engineers near to you, you could send them to me for testing/repair. I rep

Charly49 is correct the length of the shafts can and do vary from model to model, the shaft diameter is always the same even up to the R-94 the weights of the turntables also vary and the earliest seem to be the thickest castings. On the turntables is the casting or part number such as L-349 & L-5069 (a couple I have on my desk as examples).

Hello Reini,
Are you talking about the chrome hub in the centre of the turntable or are you talking about the metal disk that some people put onto their turntables for decoration?

Hello Robert,
As you may be aware we do a lot of repair work on Rowe Ami jukeboxes.
After translating your message, it would seen that you have missing power rails on your power supply on the -7 & -27 volts DC.
You will need to check this out with no looms connected to the power supply other than the power switch plug connected. Check all the voltages, we usually check these out with

Hello Mario,
I think we have delt with each other in the past.
It would seem looking at all the other posts that the Jukebox you have is a RI-1, can you please confirm this by saying that the keyboard is letters and numbers? if it is just numbers then the jukebox will be a RI-2.
In the case of the RI-1 then sellection problems are usually down to dirty contacts on R1 & R5 the two rel

Hallo Gunter,

Hello savicacc,
Welcome to the forum.
If you have not been on the following site I suggest that you do so, there is a concise history of the Bal Ami's, information and a list of all the known serial numbers of these machines listed and where they are now. There is even a feature on a I200M restoration project.

Hallo Willi,

Hello George,
More times than not if you are having selection issues with an Rowe Ami 1100 mechanism the problem is dirty contacts on the open relays in the keyboard (R1 & R5 there are under the plastic cover) and on the search unit (S1 & S2) clean these open & closed contacts by pulling a paper taper through the contacts (or you could use a fibre glass pencil) check the pressure

Hello Sebastian,
I tend to agree with Marc, I think your problem will be down to tone arm cables catching, damaged stylus or that the lubrication in the tone arm bearing is gummed up.
You need to move the tone arm by hand to check out what is catching.

Hello Werner,
I can see some issues with the mechanism from your pictures.
On the cam switches the fouth switch (CS4) does not have the metal activator fitted on the switch unlike the rest of the switches.
On the other picture the collar and pin assembly (part number 201-10809) is in the wrong position, not adjusted correctly which is stopping the toggle linkage from operating correctly.

Hello Tintifax,
The upper door has a long piano hinge type locking mechanism that is operated by wire attached to the back of the lock (more than likely a C256A lock).
If memory serves me correctly there is a couple of clips that allow access to the drop down plate under the keyboard to get to flourescent tube.

Hello Tintifax,
When ever there is issues where the search unit is continually spinning around, I usually advise to clean the open contact on the relays on the Button Bank/Ketyboard, R1 & R5 are usually under a small plastic cover.
Make a paper taper out of a strip of copy or writing paper and pull this between the contacts of these two relays to hone/clean the tips of the contacts. Chec

Hello Tinifax,
Please let us have the model number of your amplifier?
If it was original it should be a 601-04359 power amplifier with a separate pre-amplifier mounted in a metal enclosure on the rear of the jukebox. There are a number of capicitors you will need to check/replace but also there are some larger resistors that also require checking. I suggest that get your oscilloscope repai

Hello Tintifax,
You will have to let us know your given name.
From your picture I can see that the back of the gripper bow is broken on one of the flanges, these turn the gripper bow through 90 degrees to put the record back into the magazine, that broken piece out of the flange is almost at its limit and if it breaks any more the gripper will jam up when playing B side records. The left ha

Hello Tintifax,
Thank you for sending your video.
From the video I can tell that the Cam gear is mounted on the Gripper Bow assembly 180 degrees out.
You need to remove the gripper bow assembly and strip it fully down and wash in warm soapy to remove any trace of lubrication.
Start by unscrewing the two 4BA 1/4AF machine screws that hold the tunnion pins into the casting. The machine scr

Hello Tintifax,
Good advice from charly49.
If you have not adjusted the mechanism before it can seem daunting but it is basically one step at a time as per the manual.
You do need to strip the mechanism down to check that the screws for example that hold the transfer motor to its mounting plate are tight, they often loosen allowing movement of the motor, you need to drop the motor plate so

Hello Hildegard,
I bought my first jukebox in around 1977 or 1978 from Alan Black when Sound Leisure was part of Eddie Mosses company it was a NSM Hit 130, I still have it but it needs work and a new front glass. I was working at Dransfield's at the time in their jukebox department.
Been working on Rowe Ami jukeboxes since 1980 when I went self employed.

The volume control on the MM-1 and a few of the other MM series jukeboxes was a dual 10k log control that was fitted into a metal enclosure fitted on the inside of the jukebox,it includes the reject button and was fitted with a tag strip on the back of the metal box for connection to the amplifier.

I would check out the rubber grommets that the Solenoid & Push Rod Assembly (Latch Bar solenoid 201-14833) fit onto are ok. Some solenoids seem to be louder than others.

Hello Hildegard,
Going by your pictures on one one of the jukebox you can see the record playing strip above the mechanism which would suggest that the mechanism came out of one of the following jukeboxes:-
1950/51 M100B/BL
1952 M100C
1953 HF100G
1953/54 100W
My guess is the M100B.

Hello Wolfgang,
As already said by the other forum members that this is common.
What are the foam speaker surrounds like, jukeboxes of this era suffered with the introduction of these foam surrounds, the R-83 for some reason only had a speaker with a foam surround on the drop down keyboad door (we have had to replace the surrounds on every one we have worked on, the same with the bass spea
