Hello, i am having a problem with my AMi pulse converter. JBK-120 (1960). If it sits with no power for a few days, it misses selections when I start it up. Usually the higher numbers (11 through 20) The letter will select properly but the number will not. After selecting, you can hear the numbers side of the pulse converter jamming or missing steps on it's way up. For example if I sel

Hello,
I recently purchased a 120 select (W-120) AMi wallbox. I am looking to hook it up to my JBK-120 AMi jukebox. The person I purchased it from told me it is working. I am not sure how to hook it up, and I am worried about damaging the jukebox. I assume that I run wires from the amp terminals? There are pictures included in this message of the hookups. Also what type of wire should I

Hello,
I'm having ongoing problems with selections. Model is JBK-120
I have had the pulse converter recently rebuilt + 3 homing contact switches replaced. The man who worked on the converter tested it 300 times without failure. When I got it back, I installed it and it still fails 20% of the time. Is it the pulse generator at fault?
It really likes to select F1. For example: I

Thank you Karl.
I observed how these levers work and managed to fix the problem (I think) by rapidly pressing the release button for a minute or so. Eventually the springiness came back to the keypad. I believe the lever for the right keypad is dirty / sticky.
Fixed for now! Thanks again!

Hello again,
I'm having a problem with buttons 11 through 20 on my AMi K. They are difficult to press and lock in.. They seem to have lost their springiness. I have to press them in very hard to make the correct selection. If I press them in lightly, a wrong selection will often occur.
Button #14 is the only button that functions normal.. But I noticed that it is not aligned wit

Thank you again Karl for your expert advice :)
Wow, many possibilities! Looks like I have some work to do. Are reproduction stopping switches available? Assuming that is the problem.

Yes sorry.. Once the carousel reaches the selected pin it won't engage. The only way to move it along is to push the selected pin back out. Then then wheel will continue spinning, but thus missing that selection. (Sorry for my lack of technical terms)
Also, sometimes I have found that by wiggling the part shown in the picture, the gripper will activate and the record will play. Howev

Hello again,
My AMI K often gets stuck while spinning/scanning for selections. I have found the only way to fix it is to wiggle this part (shown in picture) or to press the selected pin back out. The magazine will then continue spinning onto the next selection. It seems to happen more often after the jukebox has been in use for a couple hours. I checked my manual but I cannot locate a solu

Hello!
Happy New Year everybody :)
Sorry if this has been covered before, but I am wondering if anyone has any actual pictures or videos of the lubrication points for my 1960 AMi K jukebox. I have a pdf manual for a Continental 2 and there is a lubrication chart in it, but it is not very clear. I am afraid of oiling the wrong spots etc.

Hello Karl,
I purchased and installed the new cut-off switch.
It is better, but I still can't get it to track around 5 grams. Is there anything else I can try? A counter-weight modification? Or maybe somehow modifying my tone-arm and adding a bias-spring?
Thanks,
Paul

Hello again,
I recently replaced the ceramic cartridge in my AMi JBK-120 with a magnetic Pickering NP/AC
I am having difficulty getting it to track properly. Some records play ok but some are skipping. I have spent hours try to find the right balance. The skipping occurs near the end of the record.
Someone suggested that I may be missing the bias spring and that resistance from the

Hello,
I am having issues with replacement needles for my Astatic 51 stylus. Some of my records (not all) are being damaged. I have tried adjusting the stylus height and tone arm height.
Someone told me that I might be missing a counter pressure spring under the tone arm? I looked and I don't see a spring anywhere. Does anyone have a picture of where the spring is supposed to be?

Hi Karl,
I am finally getting close to having my AMi working 100%. I am having some difficulty with the pin pusher alignment. They are off slightly, and the selections are always off by one.
I have a manual from a Continental 2, but I am having difficulty understanding the manual. I attached a couple photos for you to see. The first photo is where the pin strikes when A1 is selected (

Also got my pulse converter and pulse generator back from a rebuild. Karl you are the best! You were right.. Somehow (from thousands of miles away) you knew I had a tiny crack in the plastic hub of the converter. That was the source of all my problems. The man who repaired it was able to find an original NOS AMi replacement part. It is now working great. Thank you again my friend

Hi again, Could you tell me where the "no credit" position is? I am now having a problem where the keys won't press in. I rotated the large gear and it works again, but I'd like to stop this from happening. It happens every 10 selections or so. So, I need to sync the wiper with the cam? I could send pictures if needed. Any diagrams available of this setting? Sorry I do

Thanks! That worked. I hope this doesn't keep happening. It never happened before I had it rebuilt. I am wondering if I should send the pulse generator back along with the pulse converter for the guy to look at again. Expensive shipping though :( I checked the black wiper holder and indeed it does slide around regardless of how much you tighten the allen screw. So that is definitely t

Thank you so much for your help Charly!! I am having another issue. This time with the pulse generator/keyboard. All the letters (A through F) and numbers (1 through 10) are locked. I can't push them in. I tried unplugging everything, power on/off, reset etc. But they will NOT press in. Strangely though, the numbers 11-20 WILL press in and lock. Numbers 11 through 20 have always been

Wow. I think you are exactly right in your assumption that the black wiper holder is broken. I just examined the under side of it, and it is cracked all the way through!! I took a picture, check it out. Can this be repaired? Glued?

Also, I was told by the guy who serviced it that the resting position of the wiper is "not critical". But I figured it was extremely important because if it doesn't line up perfectly with the traces, it won't work.

Thank you for your reply charly49. Many times (I would say 10 times), I have adjusted the number wiper to the correct starting position ("1" segment). However, after I make a selection, it springs back to a different position on the board. It loses it's place (forward sometimes & backwards - like the picture) It never goes back to where I set it. So I have to repeat the po

Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me with my 1960 AMi JBK-120 Jukebox.
I have been having problems with selections since last summer. I am not very technically apt but I am trying to learn more about my machine. Hello,
Does anyone know where I could find replacement speakers for my Seeburg SC1 Consollette Wallbox? The original speakers are torn/blown. Anyone have any experience replacing or repairing these?
(The picture I attached is not my wallbox, it's just an example of what the speakers look like)
Thanks,

Wow! That's great news. Thank you! I will give this a try. Unfortunately I can't test it out until I get the amp back from being rebuilt.
So just to clarify, I should leave the volume control cable hooked up as it is (terminal 1 & 2) and hook the black ground wire over top on terminal 1?
Also, does it matter which colour wires go to terminals 3 & 4. Orange to 3,
