Wurlitzer 1100 - Issues after transport

Hello! Hoping for some guidance on a nice Wurlitzer 1100.

I purchased it from a person I trust who works on them and while visiting prior to the purchase I saw the machine run fine.

After purchase I transported it 300 miles home in an enclosed trailer, and over some very rough roads.

After unloading it ran fine but developed a problem. Once a selection was made the turntable would raise only partially, and a knocking sound was heard. The noise was the fiber gear being destroyed by the metal worm drive gear.

I could try to rotate the fiber gear by hand, but it would not move - as it was binding. The only way I could restore operation was to pull back the "clutch" which mates with it on the same shaft. Once done the turntable would continue to raise and operation would continue normally.

Odd that sometimes after making a selection it will run a complete cycle normally as if nothing was wrong, but the majority of the time it binds as I've described.

I need to resolve this binding issue before replacing the fiber gear. I've just now started to look into this issue and hoping that someone could give me a few things to pay particular attention to. I believe this issue came about due to the rough trip home over bad roads.

Thank you for any help!
