Hello Everyone!!! Anyone knows this amplifier and its speakers connection schematic, please.

I owned a Wurlitzer fuego and someone has modified its structure speakers connection in the past.

If I,m right, the speakers are connected to the transformer pins depending the impedance.

Inner 8 ohms

External 4 ohms

Both in parallels.

Any suggestion are welcome. I will keep investigating.

Hello carlos52,
the green and yellow wires are connected to the internal speaker jacks on top of the amplifier, the orange and purple wires are connected to the external speaker jacks on the side.
By attaching the four wires to the transformer terminals, you can set the power output to each speaker to prevent overloading the amplifier and the speakers at maximum volume.
The internal speakers have an impedance of 12 Ohms and receive 20W when connected to the 12-ohm terminal. The amplifier has a maximum power output of 40W per channel, so you can connect another pair of external 12 Ohm speakers to the 12 Ohm terminal. If you want to connect external 8 Ohm speakers, use the 8-ohm terminal for 20W or terminals 4, 2, and 1 for lower power. Make sure the total power to all connected speakers does not exceed 40W per channel. If you are using the 70V terminals (for speakers with a built-in transformer), you must add the total power of all connected 70V speakers to the power balance.
Best regards, Jürgen

Hello Jürgen, firstable thank you very much for supporting my post, I am a really bit confused with the connections.

I,m getting information from internet but theres not too much about WURLITZER FUEGO.

I Have enclosed a schematic speakers connection demo... maybe its wrong or not completed right, Could you help please?

I really appreciate.

I only want to connect the Tweeters and bass speakers that belong to the juke... but everything is disconnected and seems that this is modified in the past.

I want to take my time before I m sure the connections are ok

This is an excerpt from the wiring diagram for Fuego from 1984.
The schematics can be found in the service manual of that year.

Hildegard, thank you both for interesting in my questions. I appreciate your help.

Wurlitzer fuego is from 1983.

All what I see is just one socket for two plugs that they dont suit each others, whats whay I enclosed the schematic demo connection

pics from amplifier... din plug for tweeters and din plug for bass speakers

Re: h84 wurlizter fuego amplifier

Your pictures of the amplifier shows two 5-pin DIN sockets for the internal speakers but you can also use 3 pin plugs. One is used for the tweeters, one for the bass speakers. It doesn't really matter because the two should be in parallel but it`s easier for the soldering job to use both. In my picture, I am showing the internal speakers connected to the 8 Ohm terminals at the transformer. Connecting to 12Ohm would give you a bit more output power. I show the external speakers connected to the 4Ohm terminals, it does not matter anyway if you are not using external speakers. You could use those sockets to test the sound of your box with external speakers from your Hifi System.
Hope this helps.
Rgds...Jürgen

OMG!!!! Thanks a lot Jürgen!!!! I see!!! Its easier that I Pointed to.....I mixed my mind myself!!!

I think is because there is only a few info about it in internet, and depending of version 1983, 1984, 1986, are a bit different, I,m not get used to, I mixed my mind myself.

Now its clearest, I really appreciate your both help; Jürgen and Hildegard, your help has been really useful!!!

There is another point that I have to solve. ONE CHANNEL DOES NOT WORK... I need to solve it as well, I am not an electronic technician, so I have to be patient...and I will do it as best as I can, Hope to finish with the restoration

I will keep inform you.

Thanks again

ONE CHANNEL DOES NOT WORK.

Check the contacts of the current limiting bulbs first (next to the output transistors).
The amplifier outputs should be connected through the bulbs to pin"12" at the transformer, "0" is ground.
I don`t have a schematic of this amp for the version with the output transformer, my replies involve a bit of guessing. I think it has no Stereo/2-channel switch - correct ?

Hello Everyone!!!! Jürgen it has a MONO-STEREO SWITH, I have already cleaned it and make a visual checking of the whole amplifier.

FINAL TRANSISTOR TESTED.

DIFFERENTS MEASUREMENTS COMPARING BOTH CHANNELS.

I keep going with work.

Any suggestion are welcome

THANKS
Re: h84 wurlizter fuego amplifier

I was asking for the Stereo/2-channel switch. In position 2-channel, it connects both internal speakers to the left channel and both external speakers to the right channel. I did not include the switch in my little drawing, I think amps with transformer don`t have it. If you have this switch, you need to check the contacts. Have you checked the connections from the amplifier output (bulbs) to pins 12 of the transformer ? Transformer pins "0" both connected to Ground ?
Other than that, the problem can be anywhere from the pickup to the output - have you checked the volume potentiometer as Swen suggested ?
Rgds..Jürgen

Welcome back Swen - I can lean myself back now smiling smiley

Re: h84 wurlizter fuego amplifier

Thanks both of you.

Jürgen,
As you well said there is not Stereo/2-channel switch in that modell,
I have checked the connections of the bulbs and transformer and that part are fine also.

The problem seems to be in the POTENCIOMETER.

On the LEFT CHANNEL, which is the one does not work, there is no measurement at all with the multimeter in none of the threee pins of the
POTENCIOMETER.

SEEMS THAT INTERNAL RESISTOR IS BROKEN*****************

Re: h84 wurlizter fuego amplifier
26.03.26 06:21
Definitely the problem was in POTENTIOMETER.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MY POSTS AND HELP GIVEN, IT HAS BEEN REALLY USEFUL.

I opened the potentiometer and checked that metallic round pointer was broken as shown in pics.
What I did, is recycled an old potentiometer and changed the whole module with a little bit adapting method.

I COULD HEAR FOR FIRST TIME BOTH CHANNEL WORKING :), the thing is a bit unsettled and rough when turning the volume up or down.

As SWEN suggested I am going to leave like this because the circuit tracks suffer when weld and unweld components and I am going to use the remote control (BU3) by making a small box to control it.

I will keep inform of the restoration.

Thanks again and Best Regards.
