Hi
I'm looking for instructions or manual for a HGM playmate escort wallbox,
I think it is a Mk4.
I am trying to connect it to an NSM 160 hide away so any information to do this would be appreciated.
Thanks
Daren

Thanks Guys
Thanks for the link/s, information.
This guide must be a different model, after a bit more digging around, my wall box has a jumper card that locates in a slot in the middle of the main board.
The one I have is for a rowe ami, now providing I can locate the card for the NSM I will be nearly there al that I would need is to find out which of the outputs, 6 wires connects to which of the 8 inputs on the NSM
This final part I may struggle with unless I can find some one who used to install them.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

After a bit more research My HGM wall box is actually a HGM playmate escort Mk3.
So I am now looking for a manual, pdf, download or info on the connection block.
Thanks

Hi Daren,
I don't know how Playmate Escort Mk3 looks. We have one manual which doesn't neither give a year nor a version (Mkxx).
It might be from the eraly 80s as it mentions AMI R-84 already.
I attach a scan of the cover showing a b&w grafic.

Hi
Thanks for the scan, it looks like the same booklet as I have, I think the mk3 and the mk4 have the same external appearance.
In my booklet on the first page, there are descriptions of the models, my booklet tells me how to connect and program the mk4 and has a brief description what the mk3 is like.
Maybe you could have a look inside if it mentions a program card then that could be the one, if there are a row of connections for various boxes then its a mk4.
Thanks for looking

Hi Daren,
yes, you will need the programming card for NSM - see attachment ending with 18.
The other one shows Mk4 manual cover. It's a different model - at least the area with the buttons is not the same.

Hi
Wow, thats fantastic, thank you very much for taking the time to look and scan these pages,
The cover looks similar to the one I have.
I should now be able to link these two together and when I get a jumper card and test it.
Providing it works I can start cleaning etc.
Thanks once again

Well heres an update,
Got the HGM jumper card and connected the two boxes together, Powered up with lights and LEDS. Tried to do a scan on the NSM board, The relay energises but the carriage does not move.
I can push the carriage and the relay clicks.
It looks like I need a manual for the NSM hideaway now so I can check the board.
Can anyone help
Thanks

Hello Daren,
I have been on holiday for just over 10 days or I could have supplied you with the jumper card or the connection information,
I still have cards for all the Rowe Ami versions, Rock Ola, NSM, Wurlitzer. I also have the conversion pack for the Rowe Ami R-80S to R-83 jukeboxes that required the additional - voltages.
One of the issues with this wallbox was that the power connections had to be in the correct location because one rail is grounded. Try swapping the AC in cables around (this was never documented in the manual).

Hi Alan
Thanks for the offer and advice, I've got hold of a jumper card, although it cost me an arm and a leg as they say.
The wallbox seams to power up ok, I did disconnect it from the hideaway, to see if I could get it to scan. and manually load a record as it suggests on the lid, No joy.
I've dropped the control board off to visually check it, At first glance I think there is a corroded relay but until I have a closer look with the cap I not sure.
I have 3 relays on the board, anyone tell me what they do, the top one I presume is for the carriage position.
Thanks
Daren

Hello Darren,
If you get stuck with the HGM wall box, I test/repair these boards or may be able to provide a replacement. I have parts for the Playmate 1 to Playmate 4 wallboxes, including glasses, title racks, power supplies, keyboard/display, main boards and looms etc.
Regards
