hit 130 rejecting records

My hit 130 seranade has the problem of rejecting the record as soon as it is picked up.

On the tips page it says it can be the following:

1. mode swith defective. Where is the mode switch for this model?
2. clutch is gummy. What and where is the clutch?
3. coupling magnet gummy?
4. limit switch or delete button is enabled?
5. braking resistor?

Any help on identifying these would be good. It has the same problem when swapped to another hit 130.

It did start working for a short while but stopped again.
