Wurlitzer Lyric Credit lamp

I have a question about my Wurlitzer Lyric M 1961.
I small sign lights up "insert coin" when I put a coin in the machine and the lamp lights out when I have played the last title without inserting a new coin. Shouldn´t it be in the opposite order? I think its more natural that the lamp should be ON, saying "insert coin" when there are no credits and that it should be OFF when you have put a coin in the box? Under the "insert coin"-lamp is a sign that allways is lighten and it says: Credit.
I think this is confusing, anyone that have an idea?

I think that someone accidentally misconnected or mischanged the two lights. The credit light should be on as long as you have enough credit to select a record. The "insert coin" light should be on as long as you can do what it says, insert coins.
So your "credit" light should be the "insert coin" light and vice versa.
